Policies

At Vineyard Brisbane West Church, we seek to live and serve in a way that reflects the character of Jesus—marked by love, integrity, safety and care for one another.

Our policies help provide clear expectations for how we operate as a church community. They guide our leadership, protect those who participate in our ministries, and ensure we meet the legal and safeguarding standards required in Queensland and Australia.

Policies provide an important framework that supports a safe, healthy, and accountable church environment. Below are key policy documents that shape our ministry and governance.

Please contact us if you would like to ask any questions about our policies.

Complaints and Concerns

Vineyard Brisbane West Church seeks to handle concerns with humility, fairness and transparency. Concerns will be taken seriously and addressed in accordance with our safeguarding and complaints procedures.

General enquiries or complaints

If you have an enquiry or complaint of a general nature you can contact us through this website using our office email address.

Safeguarding concerns

If you have a safeguarding concern about the conduct, safety or the wellbeing of someone involved in our church activities, we encourage you to speak with one of our Safe Ministry Contacts using the links below, which will direct you to our Safe Ministry Check portal.

Safe Ministry and Safeguarding

We believe every person should feel safe, respected and valued when participating in church life.

Our safeguarding framework includes:

  • Safe recruitment practices
  • Worker training and screening
  • Clear reporting processes
  • Accountability structures for leaders and volunteers.

If you have any concerns about safety within the church, please contact our Safe Ministry Contacts.

Child and Youth Risk Management Strategy (Child Protection Policy)

We are committed to the safety, wellbeing, and dignity of children and young people.

Our Child and Youth Risk Management Strategy outlines how we prevent, recognise, and respond to concerns about the safety of children in our church ministries. It includes procedures for safe recruitment, supervision, training, and reporting concerns in line with Queensland child safety requirements.

All ministry workers serving with children or youth complete safeguarding training and appropriate screening before serving.

Vineyard Brisbane West Church uses Safe Ministry Check, a secure online safeguarding platform used by many churches across Australia. The system helps us manage training, screening and compliance for those serving in ministries involving children and young people.
