Children at VBW
We see children as a vital and valued part of our church family.
We are committed to creating a safe, joyful and faith-filled environment where children can grow in their understanding of Jesus and His Kingdom.
We understand that some families have commitments on Sunday mornings, like sport or shift work. No worries! We meet on Sunday afternoons at 4pm at Good News Lutheran School in Middle Park. So you and your children can join a church community where everyone can belong and be discipled.

During school terms we run a kid’s program for ages 4-11 designed to help children engage with Scripture, prayer and worship in ways that are age-appropriate and meaningful. We also love having children and young people in our main gatherings and believe the whole church benefits from their presence.
We don’t simply see children as future members of the church — they are part of God’s work now. We expect to learn from them, to listen well, and to create space where their faith, questions and gifts are welcomed and nurtured.
If you have any questions please contact us. We look forward to welcoming your family.
All ministry workers hold current Blue Cards and we follow safe ministry practices in line with Queensland requirements. We take our responsibility to care for children seriously. You can view more detailed information on our Policies page.
